Nocturnal Torment: They come at night

13/04/12  ||  Curt

I thought for sure the next stub that I was doing was going to be a piece of crap: After all, so far I’m about 50/50 on the good to crap ratio on this section. When I realized that the band’s name was Nocturnal Torment I was positive that the album was going to be crap. But nope, instead of total crap I got decent Death Metal. Don’t get me wrong this album isn’t a great album, but it is solid brutal Death Metal that will have you banging your head and putting it on a few more times before forgetting about it for good. Not revolutionary, but nice to hear every once in a while. Probably the best way to describe the album overall would be to compare it to early Dieicide but with Barney from Napalm Death on vocals instead of Glen Benton.

6,5/10. Not crappy, but not perfect either.
